What the source explains
The researchers used an online questionnaire distributed through snowball sampling. Of 658 respondents, 60.9% reported workplace violence in the preceding year, predominantly verbal abuse. The paper discusses perceived inaction and lack of organisational support among reporting barriers. Snowball sampling is not a random national sample, so the percentage should not be presented as a definitive prevalence for India.
Using this reading in your hospital
Focus discussion on the reporting barriers rather than using a large percentage as a slogan. Ask local staff which barrier they recognise and choose one improvement the institution can deliver. Communicate what will happen after submission and how the reporter will receive an update.
A question for your team
Would staff expect a report to lead to a practical response, or only to another form?
