Nagpur IMA Safety is a free project built by IMA doctors to help colleagues prepare, find local support and coordinate when a hospital needs assistance.
How the SOS call system is designed to work
A doctor raises and confirms an SOS from the prominent button on the home page, sharing the hospital location, callback number and a short description. The calling system is designed to alert enrolled Rapid Action Co-ordinator Committee members assigned to that response zone through automated mobile calls.
The aim is to draw attention to an urgent request when a WhatsApp message may go unread. Members can record whether they are responding and coordinators can follow the incident.
Mobile OTP sign-in is live. Regular emergency calling requires the response roster, duty coverage and calling channels to be activated; a supervised pilot is planned before regular use. For immediate danger, call 112 and use the published police contacts.
For IMA doctors
Join your local response network.
- Sign in with your mobile number and enter the SMS verification code.
- Submit your IMA membership number, practice and Nagpur response area for committee review.
- After approval, agree your alert participation and availability with the coordinator.
The site uses Central, North, East, West and South response areas. A coordinator confirms assignments and hospital contacts.
Doctors in government organisations can also use the government-doctor enrolment form for service participation and membership guidance.
Hospital preparedness

Use the Nagpur hospital map for locations and directions, the hospital directory for published details, and the professional support forms for police liaison, legal advice, staff wellbeing and security reviews.
Bouncers, security guards and supervisors can apply for monthly paid security roles. Selected applicants agree pay, shifts and duties before joining. Security applicants do not need IMA membership.

Is the website free?
Yes. The platform is free for participating doctors. Dr Murali Bk has committed to bearing its development, hosting, maintenance and automated-call costs.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. Open the website in your phone’s browser and use Install app or your browser’s Add to Home Screen option. See the installation and registration guide for help.
Does phone verification approve my IMA membership?
No. An SMS code verifies your mobile number. The committee separately reviews your IMA membership and response role.
